Cypress Point Country Club, Virginia Beach

Who the hell wears denim shorts to a golf course, or anywhere for that matter? This is 2011. (Directed at reviewer 2 spots down) I've never played here, but I've been in the neighborhood many times. The golf course does look to be in nice shaped normally. It isn't a super high end country club, but nonetheless you should at least dress appropriately if the words "country club" are at the end of the course's name. I'll wear a collared shirt with non-denim pants to play Bow Creek even. C'mon people. (Maybe a T-shirt to Owl's Creek now and then, but hey, it's Owl's Creek, Par-62, nobody cares.)

I just got done playing Cypress Point, what a great golf course! I must say, I read the review below of mine. And my comment on that is if you go to a Country Club and you've been playing golf forever then you should no better. My friend did the same thing a few weeks ago there and they told him the same thing, But I did point out it say's it on the door. But Chad & Mike have always treated me great and will always go out of there way to make you happy! It just makes me mad when I see people write comments about nothing! Jim Foster & Friends

Hello, My name is Vince Nixon. My wife, son, and I made a tee time at Cypress Point Country Club on 08/06/2010 it was 93 degress that day. My wife was dressed in a tank top and denim shorts. My son was dressed in a T-shirt and golf shorts. I was dressed in the proper attire. We all walked into the club house and paid green fees at 105 dollars. The two gentlemen behind the counter said nothing about the attire of my wife or son and told us to proceed to hole number one. We went in and purchased 36 dollars worth of beverages. We then proceeded to hole number one. We were very much enjoying a pleasent round of golf at Cypress Point where at hole number nine the same gentlemen that took our money proceeded to kick us off the golf course because of our attire. We proceeded to tell him that we had collared shirts for my wife and son but he said we still could not golf because of my wifes denim shorts even though he took our money with my wife standing at the counter when we paid 105 dollars for greens fees and 36 dollars for beverages. He only refunded me 36 dollars after kicking us off the course. We have been golfing for a number of years, we understand that some courses have dress codes but when we were all present in front of the gentlemen, nothing of a dress code was mentioned. I am very disappointed after seeing all the awards on the wall how poor the costumer service was. If we had just been informed that our attire was inappropriate at the beginning we would have understood and went elsewhere. It appeared that you were after our money and that my family was taken advantage of in tough economic times. I hope a change can be made for others, Vince Nixon and Family

The golf course layout was awesome! The condition of the course was the best I have ever seen. Will return to play when I am in town

My brother-in-law noticed the mail truck parked for a long time so we took the cart over to check it out and surprised his lady friend. Not a pretty situation. Food was excellent and I will return and bring the wife next time.
