Lynnhaven Mall, Virginia Beach

If it were not for the AMC Theater, I'd never go to Lynnhaven Mall. First and foremost, the movie theater is modern, clean, friendly and show the latest in films. Macy's is it's upscale store. Yippee! Not impressed. It's crammed with inventory same as Hechts was. Brand names are mediocre. The actual mall property has a lot to be desired, trash is blowing, lights broken, especially in it's new court area by the escalators. And if you go, leave the family pet home, because if he has to go, he won't be able to...Pets ARE NOT ALLOWED ON MALL PROPERTY. There are no signs that attest to this rule. None out on the grassy area of the outer perimeter of the parking lot. Just some jerk, who blows his horn, puts on his lights and says: "A message from the management; no dogs on mall property. You have to leave. I was 3 feet from my vehicle, that was parked at the outer perimeter of an empty parking lot at 11 o;clock in the morning. I got it...will leave my beloved family pet home, next time. In fact, I'll stay home, as well, and shop on the Internet. Obviously Lynnhaven Mall is doing so well, my patronage is not needed or wanted. G Gray Holmes

If this is the largest mall on the east coast then the east coast must have really tiny malls. This is one of the two largest malls in this area, but that doesn't make it large. It's pretty small. It's an average mall with average stores an average movie theatre. Everything is average about it, so how can you give it anything but an average rating?

I have traveled all over the country and I have to say, Lynnhaven Mall is my favorite mall of all time. It has a great selection of stores, a food court with all different kinds of food, from sushi to Chik-fil-A. (And if you don't care for fast-food, outside is an Uno's pizzaria and a Ruby Tuesday's, as well as an AMC theatre.) Every time I say to one of my friends "let's go to the mall" they automatically know I'm talking about Lynnhaven, and living 10 minutes away from it, I went there quite often. I miss it like crazy now that I've moved away, and anybody who gets the chance should go there, too.

I pass up 5 closer malls to go to this one. When I say The Mall, my friends know I am talking about Lynnhaven. I never go to a mall for value. But I do go for nice atmosphere. And Lynnhaven has a nice variety of relevant stores. I'm a mall rat. Peace out.

I have been coming to this mall for over god knows how long (well a very long time). My point is this, the mall is nice the people are friendly and all the little kiosks in the mall are a real treat.. I found some lovely gifts I picked out for my friends over the years and I have to say that it is a nice place to hang out most of the time when the weather is too hout outside.

Last night my husband and I attended the 12am World of the Warcraft expansion pack release and I must say, I've never been treating so poorly in my life. I'm three months pregnant and needed to use the restroom very badly. When I approached the one upstairs I was quickly turned away by an employee saying it was closed. I politly asked him if there was another one availble and he pointed me to the one downstairs. Well as I reached the next restroom a very rude employee told me that I couldn't use it because it was closed. I thought it was crazy since I'm pregnant and was in obvious discomfort. I was then told that if the restroom didn't stay clean the employees would get into trouble. I understand that everyone has a job to do but I was just one person who needed to use it and for good reason. I can't believe me leaving a few shoe prints on the floor is more important than my health. It was so sad. The man gave me the impression that he could care less and told me to ask the employees of the store to use theirs since it was their fault that people where there after mall hours. Its so strange to be treated like this at what use to be my favorite mall. I've been shopping there for years. After this expierence I will never spend my money there to support such awful behavior.

When you walk into a nail salon as a paying customer, you'd want them to do a good thurough job. Although they were friendly, my nails looked good during the first two days. My nails were starting to look worse by each passing day. After psying $36.00 I would expect my nails to last up to 2 weeks as they have in the past. After 11 days they are popping off and have bubbles in between the nail, which moisture could enter it,it would form a fungus that would start eating at my nail and start curroding it. I called the manager on 8-25-06,she stated that everyones nails are different and that I'd have to pay again for them to redo them!"

I love this mall! There is a wonderful selection of stores to go to for all ages. Play area is super for the kids! We live in Elizabeth City, NC and go up there just to go to the mall quite often!

I love this mall I travel often from NC just to shop here. The food court is great and the movie theatre is one of cleanest i've seen! The stores there are fabulous to shop at and you always feel like family!
