Belle Haven Marina, Belleview

i love the marina soooooooo much! get fox5 news to go there again but this time i get to say hi! sarah!

Belle Haven and Dyke Marsh are wonderful areas esp because they're so close to DC. I've been canoeing and kayaking out of Belle Haven Marina often and I expect to return many more times. Easy to get to, wildlife and natural areas, the people are friendly - it's like you stepped into a little backwoods town but without the Deliverance banjo player.

Belle Haven Marina is a great little gem. The casual, easy going atmosphere is a huge stress reliever, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. With the small-community feeling of Belle Haven, you almost don't realize you're near DC.

I go to Belle Haven Marina as often as I can. It is the fastest way I've found to feel like I'm out of the city and its pressures. They seem to have everything right with a casual atmosphere, the trail along the GW Parkway, reasonable rentals...

There is not one thing wrong with belle haven marina. Everything about it is great. The people in particular! The dockmaster is most memorable, he is one of the nicest most carefree people I have met. There is nothing negative that comes out of this man's mouth. Another great thing about the marina's rental boats is that each indvidual one has its own unique paint joba dn character. They dont match which matches perfectly with the marina. It is a unique place! Some of the boats are painted like murals in all different colors and shapes, some of two of the boats I remember in particular are the one with the large american flag on each side and it says support our troops in large writing, another once has blue and yellow waves along the sides, and a third one has a big happy face painted on the bow stem! I think it is the marina's mascott boat because the marina is such a happy place! One other thing I really liked the was the rental dock staff. they are all youthful and very knowlegable, friendly, and polite young men. They mad the rental exerience that much smoother and more enjoyable. I will never rent from another marina, and I definatly recomed Belle Haven Marina to anyone in search of sailboat, kayak, or canoe renatals or someone wanting to learn how to sail. Thsi pleace is great and I have never met better people in my life! Thanks BHM!

This is one of the most beautiful places left on the East Coast. Bring your bike and park at Belle Haven Park, just off the parkway that takes you to the marina. Hop on the trail and bike down to Mt. Vernon, about 7 miles south. It's an amazing ride along the river, or if you don't have all day, just take a stroll down that path.
