Harbour Town Lighthouse, Hilton Head Island

This past July my wife and I took a trip to Hilton Head Island. We wanted to do something new that we haven't tried before, so we deceied to go on the Spirit of Habour Town dinner cruise. The boat is owned by vagabond cruise, they also had a dolphin viewing boat. It was a great night to be out on the water. The food was good and the drinks and on the boat were amazing they actually made a drink to look like the lighthouse that's in Harbor town. We saw probally two dozen dolphins along the ride. This is a great idea for anyone who comes to hilton head couples or families.

Harbour Town offers something for everyone, aside from the spectacular view of the inter-coastal water ways and great sunset dining at the Waterfront Cafe. There is outdoor entertainment, gorgeous yachts at the marina and fun place for all ages. As for accomodations, I prefer the less populated Shelter Cove or Main Street Inn, but would highly recommend a drive into SeaPines to check out Harbour town and the view from the lighthouse that is infamous to golf fans!

Very nice little are to visit. The lighthouse is the main attraction, but there is plenty of shopping. Nice to get away to visit with or without the kids. Crab shack there is good to eat at, just go early. Find out when the childrens singer is going to be there, he is a must see.

This is one of my favorite places ever! Go and see the fantastic yachts, Stars and Stripes America's Cup yacht, the lighthouse, the golf course, the shops! Just fabulous! If you have kids, you have to see Gregg Russell under the Liberty Oak (in season). Then let them play on the playground. Stayed at the Inn once, and it was lovely. The atmosphere and setting are simply wonderful!! Getting ready to go back next month, I can't wait!!!

Dont miss this great place to shop for wonderful island gifts. The resturants have delicious food from the sea. The boats were fun to watch coming in and out of the harbor. It is fun for the whole family all year round! The tours were a lot of fun with fishing and dolphing exploring.

I recently vacationed in Hilton Head Island for the first time and it was a vacation I'll never forget. From the bike rides on the white sandy beaches to shopping in Harbour Town to the delicious restaurants - excellent place to visit. My favorite memory would have to be the 2 cruises we took while on the island - one through "VAGABOND CRUISE", the other through "PALMETTO STAR". Our family had never experienced a cruise quite like the ones we took in Hilton Head! One was a public sunset dinner cruise on the "Spirit of Harbour Town" yacht (docked in Harbour Town). We were served a southern BBQ Buffet on this 2 hour cruise and saw a beautiful sunset while in the Calibogue Sound. The other cruise we chose was the Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Palmetto Star (docked in Shelter Cove) - a very beautiful yacht!! This cruise lasts 2 1/2 hours and you're served a choice of steak or lobster, as well as your salad, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a delicious dessert! Between the dinner, atmosphere, and view - it's definitely worth the money! Adults and Children are welcome on the yachts, and the staff is very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend a cruise to anyone visiting Hilton Head Island!

Great place to be at during the season. Friday + Saturday evening entertainment is for kids with folk songs + kids songs under big tree. Good place just to relax + read a book, or can get 'hooked' on the gentle entertainment at the local pub.

We stay at our family's time share on the other end of the island, but no vacation would be complete for us unless we spent one night at Harour Town, having ice cream, enjoying Greg Russell and the kids singing under the tree, a trip up to the top of the lighthouse and the terrific sunset! Love it!!!!

A don't miss area of HHI, always enjoy spending time there. Good for the kids and us adults also. See what the rich spend their money on, (Boats). To avoid parking problems take the trolley.
