Outside Hilton Head Island Kayak Fishing Tour
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/09
The worst guided fishing tour I've ever experienced. It was an absolute joke, it would not be worth $20 a person, and no where near worth the $375 for three people. Our non-native guide, had us fishing in the same harbor where we got the kayaks. We could of fished the same spot from shore. The equipment is old, from the rods, to old line, and rusty hooks. He had us using tiny frozen shrimp on bobbers, rather than casting with artificials. After one hour of no bites we went away from our guide and into the adjacent salt marsh. I caught four small trout in the grass flats. At which time the guide paddled up to me and said it's time to go back to in to the harbor, after two and a half hours of fishing, and we paid for three.
Do not go fishing with them. It is an absolute waste of your time and money. Rent a kayak from them for $40 a person for the day, take some lures and paddle out into the marsh and fish by your self. If had been up to our guide we would of fished the harbor the entire time.
The guide there did not show us any spots and we would of surely caught more fish without him.
The three of us that went are all experienced fisherman from Florida. Fishing with Outside Hilton Head was the biggest waste of time and money I have ever experienced.
The guide was also unenthusiastic and could of cared less if we caught anything.
