Commander Zodiac, Hilton Head Island

Captain Andrea was amazing! She took us out and we saw dolphins galore! It was just enough excitement for my 2 and 4 year olds. It was safe and fun and I cannot recommend the experience more. We're really looking forward to returning!

I would highly reccommend this activity for anyone in the area. My wife and I have been to Hilton Head several times in the last few years, and the dolphin tours are something that really interested us. We previously had taken one of the cheaper tours, but we were not really satisfied with it. That turned out to be more of a look at the beach homes of the island with the slight possibility of seeing dolphins. Commander Zodiac is nothing like that. Our captian lived and grew up on Hilton Head, knew the waterways intimately, and knew exactly where to go to see what we wanted: dolphins. The entire trip was enjoyable; whether we were up close to a pod of dolphins hunting fish or navigating the channels in the swamp to look for more, we were having fun. The price was steeper than some of their competitors, but the value was definitely worth it.

Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We saw lots of dolphins, jellyfish (up close), crabs, birds, and more. We stood on an oyster shell bar. The kids (3 and 4) were very comfortable on the boat and had a great time. We would definitely go again.

I have been going to Hilton Head Island for about 20 years now and every year we choose Capt. Scott. He is very awesome! Does anybody know his last name so i can keep in touch with him? Thanks.

Our kids participated in the half day kid water camp 9:30- 12:00 on a Thursday. They went to Daufaski in a motor boat, sailing, crabbing, saw dolphin, scavenger hunt, games and more! This was definitely a trip favorite and for only $40! It gave dad some time to golf and mom some time at the outlet malls. Thanks Commander Zodiac for a win-win-win!

The 1-1/2 hr. Commander Zodiac tour is our top choice for family or personal activities on Hilton Head Island. We've been regular visitors to the island since 1984 and enjoy the tour several times every year. For an up-close personal dolphin encounter or just to enjoy the scenery of the marshes and oyster beds, Commander Zodiac is the best! The small boat capacity allows for a more personalized tour than the larger boats offer and offers the luxury of being able to change your destination at a moment's notice. Definitely a value for the cost - especially when compared to the cost and time value of maintaining your own craft. When weather intervenes, the staff is great at trying to re-schedule your trip. Have a group larger than 6 or 7? Consider booking multiple tours at the same time. Reserve early as their schedule fills up quickly. Be sure to tell your captain what you want to see for a more personalized tour. Bring your camera and wear shades and sunscreen, but beware the hats. They can definitely fly off in the wind! Have a great ride!

We had a great time on the Zodiac. After being picked up we saw dolphins and went to a sand bar to get seashells and sand dollars. Our guide was great and we will definately go on a Zodiac tour every time we are in Hilton Head. It was so much nicer being on a private boat than on a large cruise with 50 other people.

We saw several dolphin, and our boat was bumped by a bull shark, how cool was that! A must do!

Captain Abby gave us a great tour. We saw tons of dolphins up close, even jumping up out of the water. Hold on tight in the raft.
