Truffles Market & Cafe

Bad to Dangerously bad food!!!!!!!!!Local resident says stay away! The menu is limited. While the salads are good, most everything else is only medicore to very bad! If you must go, (and the atmosphere is pleasant), drink, enjoy the bread and eat only salads!

You can't go to Hilton Head without stopping at Truffles at least once or make it a daily trip. You can't order anything that isn't GREAT. Our Favorites are the Tomato Dill soup(or potato cheddar if they have it), the Coconut Shrimp and then for the dinner the Grouper with a Basil Parmesan cheese glaze with mash potatoes and green bean and you have to end with a Blondie. Other favorites are the Meatloaf, the Filet and the Pasta New Orleans get that with Shrimp. The prices are cheap but they aren't outrageous and the portions are HUGE. The staff is great too...Ask for SCOTT he has been there the longest and seems to always be working day or night. If you are going doing the tourist time then make sure to get their before the rush which seems to be from 6-9. If you have kids it is probably a good idea to go for a early dinner around 5 so that you can have you pick of seats and the most fun. They do carry out too if you don't want to be bothered my the wait or large crowd. They have two locations SEA PINES is the place to be. They are also building a new location that will have a different menu it will definetly be worth a try but we will always be loyal to the Sea Pines Truffles you should make Truffles Cafe a staple to your vacation to HILTON HEAD ISLAND otherwise it just won't be the BEST VACATION you've ever had. Great relaxing dinner spot, with dishes that are wonderful, especially the tomato soup and the dinner salads. Always our first stop for dinner on our arrival day...and good during the rest of the week, too.
