Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Art Museum is a great place to come and walk around to see the art history of Cincinnati, a Van Gough, Monet, Picasso and many more masters. The cafe is a great place to have lunch or a cup of tea and look over the beautiful courtyard. There is always something different going on at the art museum and I highly recommend coming for a visit.

I LOVED THE COLLECTION, THE LOCATION, AND THE FACT THAT IT IS FREE. THE COLLECTION INCLUDED SO MANY FAMOUS ARTISTS. THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY TRIP.

The Cincinnati Art Museum is now FREE every day of the week, and the collection is quite good. I seem to spend the most time on the second floor, where you can find Impressionist paintings, old musical instruments with inlaid pearl, and work from some of the old "masters." After marvelling at the art, take a break at the cafe on the first floor. There's plenty of light flowing in from outside, and the food's never disappointed me. Be sure to stop at the galleries across from the cafe before leaving. You may be surprised with an installation of modern fashion or some pop art -- whatever they decide to put in that space.

The Cincinnati Art Museum is located in a beautiful part of the city. The drive up to the museum really begins to set the mood for your visit, especially in the fall or early spring. Admission to the Cincinnati Art Museum is free. It features local, regional, national, and international works from all different time periods. Rotating displays (there is usually an admission fee for these) add a lot to the value of the Cincinnati Art Museum. Recently the museum hosted the Petra exhibit which was very interesting and historically important. They have also hosted "Strokes of the Masters" an exhibit of master painters. The museum is worth a visit. You are bound to find something that interests you and with free admission, you really can't beat it.
