love it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/08
I'm originaly from Fargo North Dakota and I always loved to go to the Red River Zoo. Every time we passed the sign I told my mom even if see could see it. It may not be the largest zoo in the world but it sure is fun. right as you walk in you can see all sorts of animals. the cute little monkeys playing, a huge turtle, snakes and reptiles and dont forget the bugs. and as you exit the building i always went the petting zoo and fed the goats and recently they had a new little baby lamb. you can see things from all over the world like red pandas, porkipine, merkats and the good old wolves, bison and the eagles. there is so much more to discover so go take your family and have a whole bunch of fun

Good for Fargo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/07
Fargo seems like the leadership wants to tax the zoo out of existence, but they want more people to move here. You can't get rid of the few things that there are to do, and expect people to want to come to the bars, restaurants, and motels, if there isn't a draw beyond the dome. The zoo is small, but we need it!!

My kids love it
By Tim, 07/11/06
The zoo is small but additions continue, cant wait for the wolves to come. Give it a few years and this will be awesome. Kids will enjoy the petting zoo, and those not squimish will love the reptiles.

Small, great zoo!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/06
This is a small zoo - but it has some very special animals & nice displays. Our favorite are the camels, meerkats, and chinese red pandas. They do a great job in breeding endangered species. Nice petting zoo, too! We've been there lots of times and will continue to go back!
