Mexican Village, Fargo

None of the servers chose to smile on the evening of October 16, 2007. Our server in particular chose to present herself at our table as little as possible. At one point, we thought she had taken a break. Our food was so dried out and tasteless that we finally complained. My dish had a burrito, an enchilada, a chile relleno and rice and beans, along with a taco on the side. I had one bite of 3 different items and stopped. The manager was 'kind' enough to deduct $5, so I was only charged $4.95 for 3 bites. Needless to say, we will keep going to Paradiso or even Taco John's before returning to Mexican Village.

The Village has spicy food, you just have to ask. Ask for the x-tra hot hot sauce with your chips, try the #3 combo dinner, you'll love the gravy. Although the food is not traditional Mexican it is the best I've tasted, the service is great for the most part,now days it is very hard to get servers that care about the service they give,to them it's just a part time job. Waiting tables in a resturant is not as easy as one may think, everyone should walk in a servers shoes for just one day. The one problem I do have with Mexican Village is that on more than one visit to the place I have noticed that the manager waits on tables, I don't know if thats legal or not but to me it doesn't seem fair to the rest of the servers, I was told that someone called in sick and that was the reason for management taking tables, Bull- I've been there to many times for that one to fly, maybe that has something to do with the poor service people are getting, the good servers are going to go where they get the tables & tips, who knows maybe M.V. pays their servers the same wage as the boss and everyone is happy. Mexican Village is a place not to be missed.

My friend boasted about what good food this place had. I was very disappointed. I hear it used to be much nicer with better food. The wait staff seemed like they couldn't care less if you were happy or not.

The food was terrible! We asked for guacamole and it tasted like nothing I've ever tasted before. I cannot believe this is the No. 2 rated Mexican restaurant in Fargo. Who decided this? Never again.

This is NOT real Mexican food. I can't believe they call it Mexican food. Avoid this place. Service is horrible and way over-priced. Food is so bland and lacks any spice.

I used to love going to Mexican Village. I could eat there almost everyday. I love the chicken hard shell tacos and the chicken enchaladas, also the chimichanga. The sauce is the best though, no chunks or big vegetable pieces to ruin the salsa. I do have to say though, that since it was sold the food has gone down hill and so has the service.

If you're a fan of good, spicy Mexican food, this isn't the place for you. Food is relatively bland but presentation is fine. A bigger complaint is that you smell like grease the rest of the day if you go. Makes me questions the cleanliness of the place...

i'm of mexican origin and the food is not even close to it being Mexican.... I apologize but i'd rather go to Acapulco mexican Restaurant in Fargo,ND...
