Service has improved slightly from a year ago the last time I was there; it was awlful then. Prime rib was ordered med rare and arrived well done. Other than that the food was tasty and good. Drink service was extremely slow taking over 10 minutes to receive a glass of wine. Spent over $100 and it was not worth it.
My husband and I ate at this resteraunt 01/11/12. We each had steaks. I asked for well done. It came completely red in the middle/rare to medium rare. My husband ordered medium rare. his was rare. I sent mine back. It came back cooked to the point of being burnt and it tasted like the cook had doubled up on the spices. The steaks were also tough. This meal cost $85.00. Total ripoff. The only positive thing I can say about this resteraunt is the sever was attentive. This resteraunt was recomended to us by The Anniversary Inn.
This place totally sucks. Sizzler would have been better and a hecl of alot cheaper. Don't waste your money!!!!
Hamilton's has been one place that has impressed me much. The food, the service, the building, the ambiance, etc. Everything there has the elegant style and class, and the price is set perfect. They have set a higher standard. If you don't know REAL food, this wouldn't be your place. But if you like to try something different with class and style, this is it. I have found only but a few restaurants that have satisfied my needs for the quest of amazing food. I'm a cook myself, I don't like the normal burger or steaks. If I wanted a plain burger, McDonald's makes them cheaper. It's hard to make a meal or dish that can bring out or awaken your senses without over powering the dish. Hamilton's is one of the best places I have ever been to. I would recommend Hamilton's to anyone who is looking for something different or better than average food. 5 BIG STARS!!!!!
This restaurant is great only if you know what you're doing. It is quite possible to blow a ton of money and leave unsatisfied.
The potato spring rolls are the best option for the appetizers. The bacon-wrapped shrimp sounds good, but no. The french onion is a little thick and the chili is a little runny. The salad entrees are all a joke. Anything with smoked salmon in it is sick, seriously, even if you think you like smoked salmon. The pastas are all worth it, especially the steak pasta which is wonderful, but all the pastas are really good. The prime rib is great but they don't offer it everyday, I think Mon, Fri, and Sat only. The Bouillabaisse is awesome, but it also comes and goes. If you're lucky and they have it, remember to ask for tons of sourdough baguette to sop it up with. Anyway, that's my two cents about the food.
There is usually a nice, busy atmosphere there, but they'll never give you a dirty look for staying there the whole night, which is nice. The bathrooms, notably, are clean and elegant.
Hamiltons has a larger wine list than Menu. But that is ok. For my 30th Birthday it was my first time going to Hamiltons. I had the Halibut Oscar and let me tell you WOW! So great. My Husband had a Steak and we were both so impressed. The Creme Brule was amazing. But the fact that the Service was top notch on top of the food it was the best SWANKY Dinner I have ever had.
Every time I drive up from Salt Lake Now I will visit Hamiltons if only for the Mashed Potato Spring Rolls for an Appetizer.
Justin Hamilton created a high-class steak house, which was desparately needed in Logan. The few times I have been there, the food has been pretty good. The only time is was a little bit sub-par was when I went there for a business lunch in the middle of the day. My steak was pretty chewy and fatty. Also in that experience, our waitress was not very attentive to our needs, particularly after she had given us the check with our desserts. We needed a couple of take-home containers and had to track her down in order to get those. But these are very minor concerns. The vast majority of my experience at Hamilton's has been extremely positive.
I live outside of the country, but everytime I return to the States and visit my family in Utah I make sure to visit Hamilton's. The food, service, and ambiance is excellent. It is wonderful to have a steak restaurant in Logan that is a bit more upscale.
I'm so glad this place happened to Logan...this has got to be one of the best restaraunts I have ever been to. Everything is absolutely excellent, well-prepared, done to perfection. The inside of this place is amazing, especially the open kitchen, the unique light fixtures, the fireplace, the ambiance is just incredible. I love it...has a upscale ski lodge feel...like Sun Valley or Deer Valley or Snowbasin type dining. Very very delicious. The service is impeccable. I so very strongly suggest the seared ahi tuna appetizer, everyone who has ever had it falls in love with it.
The price is very reasonable for fine dining, I think. You can get entrees that are on the lower end ($13-15) and I believe they go all the way up to $30 or so, but it is so worth it. Even the seafood is amazing, and it's hard to find good seafood so far away from the coast. I love this place. Very romantic, excellent atmosphere.
