Bonefish Grill, Knoxville

April 05 Your first impression as you walk in the front door might be to think that it's an upscale dining hotspot. But when it comes to food and service, that impression would be all wrong. For starters, the hostess on duty simply forgot to write us down and we had to wait an extra 15 minutes longer, strike one. When we were seated our waiter, when he finally came, kept acting like we were keeping him from more important matters, strike two. We had to wait about 20 minutes between getting our drinks and seeing the waiter bringing our food out (we didn't see him at all in the meantime, not even for drink refills), and he promptly dropped pasta all over one of my party. Strike three for this guy, and dinner wasn't even half over. The food was also marginal. No one in our party of 9 wanted to finish their meal, and it's not like the servings were oversized in the least. The fish was overcooked, the pasta was overseasoned, and the steaks were tough. It was as if the staff was doing good just to get the orders correct in name. I would never go here again, and I would certainly warn any of my friends that said they wanted to go there. This place left a seriously bad impression on me and my party.
