I gave this place a 2 because they COULD have had really good food. Unfortunately they were out of stock in chicken so all of the chicken entrees were not available. This was at 5 in the afternoon so its not like they were slammed with a lot of orders and ran out.
ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND HAD THE EXPIERENCE OF STOPPING IN FOR A LATE LUNCH ON 8/6/10 THEY WERE A LITTLE BUSY .... BUT WE STOOD THERE CLOSE TO TEN MINUTES WAITING TO BE SEATED AS WE WERE FIXING TO LEAVE A YOUNG LADY FINALLY SEATED US AND WE ORDERED OUR DRINKS AS SHE WAS GETTING OUR DRINKS WE NOTICED THE TABLE WAS BROKEN THERE WAS NO WAY YOU COULD EAT OFF THE TABLE YOU COULD NOT EVEN SET YOUR DRINK ON IT SO WE ASKED TO BE MOVED AND WE WERE VERY RUDELY TOLD NO WE HAD TO SIT THERE BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY CLEAN TABLE AND THERE WAS NO ONE TO CLEAN THE TABLES! NEEDLESS TO SAY I ADVISED THIS YOUNG VERY RUDE LADY WHOSE NAME I DID NOT GET THAT NO WE DID NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING WE WERE LEAVING! AND WE DID , WE WILL NOT GO BACK.......
My mother and I went to Gab's on 3/24/10...they had much to choose from on their menu and also a special that ran 7.99 ea and included garden salad, soup , pasta, bread sticks, drink, and pizza...
We thought of trying a whole pizza but them worried that if we didn't like it we'd be stuck with the rest so we went with the special where you could try a piece of whatever they may have in back that others demand as well.
Perhaps what ones we were looking to try weren't their demanded pies because they weren't fresh and weren't warm! this took away from the pleasure that and also...where's the sauce!?!?!?
One the crust was over done(the stockyard) others were verily warm and cheese had hardened, lack of sauce and I also fear the sauce had no spice flavor ...very bland....
Anyone who knows pizza knows that there are three elements that make it. Crust, sauce and cheese...if you don't have that nailed you have nothing.
I was disappointed , plan to not return and am surprised that they are considered the best in town! I cook better in my kitchen from scratch!
I used to eat here quite a bit til one time I got a pizza with someones nasty hair in it. I had it taken back only to get another pizza with hair in it. Apparently that is one of their specialty toppings.
The Foccaccia Bread with Smoked Cheddar is good, but you'd need a group or people to split that with (or a to-go box). The food is really good, I like how the booths in the restaurant are very private (you can hold a conversation and not be bothered by someone else). The staff there is a bit.....eclectic, but they're nice. It's a great place to go on a date though.
This place was so warm and welcoming. The upbeat, spunky decor is entertaining in itself. I can go after work and have a great funky pie and a beer and feel great afterwards. The rosemary chicken pie is the best! You cant get this flavor anywhere else. Great job!
This place reminds me of the places I hung out at around UT Knoxville Campus. Hip decor, great pies. The pasta dishes are uninspiring but the pizzas are killer. Try the stockyard if you aren't planning on eating again that week. It's wonderful.
