Fire on the Mtn Buffalo Wings, Portland

I use to live not far from this place and would stop off at least 3 times a week to get dinner. The wings and sauces are out of this world. The Variety of sauces is also great, they have at least 12 different sauces and a special one of the month. I was sad to move down to Salem. But I will and do make the hour drive to get a taste of heaven!!!!!

I am not a huge wing fan, but this place RULES due not only to cool art and excellent peoplewatching, but NOW HEAR THIS: they offer deepfried pickles, deepfried mushrooms, and even a deepfried Twinkie. It makes me so happy! Arteriosclerosis be damned! More more more yum yum yum!

Not to bragg or be mister know it all...but i must say that almost every eating establishment i go to i order buffalo wings...and out of all the places ive ordered them at , i must say that fire on the mountian has the best ratio of meatiness to flavor. some wing places (wing stop for instance) will give you good flavor but anemic wing size...but fire on the mountian definetly out does the competition as far as flavor and wing size. although usually crowded at its orginal location...they did open up a new location on Burnside which has more seating area. good fun atmosphere...good place for friends and family to hang out. i do recommend this place to all those seeking a good wing place...best in portland as far as i can taste and excellent friendly service. dipping sauces such as bleu cheese come with your wings unlike wing stop where they make you pay extra. i recommend the original buffalo sauce...spicy but yet merciful to your taste buds with a slight hint of butteriness. Note: napkins are a must!

I am amazed there is only one reveiw for this place! It is the best Wings place in Stumptown. The wings are very meaty and the sauces are all good. They have salads and vegan wings to accomidate everyone and I love thier sweet potato fries. If I had to say something negative it would be that the vareity of sauses could be a tad bigger, thier buffalo chicken sandwich is dissapointing and there is not very much seating during lunch. But those are all small grievences when compared to how great this place is!
