I will never go here again the woman who work here are rude ignorant an disrespectful we went there yesterday and it was only us and another family there and the whole time they stared at me and laughed at me until we have to get our money back and leave never in my life have I been so disrespected by anyone especially when we never have been nothing but kind to these people and I m sure they do this to other people this place is awful
I used to love Cheng's, though their food quality and freshness has always been a gamble at times. For instance, you may be given very little to chose from, and cold food at that, if you come late in the evening.
In recent years, perhaps due to new competition and less customers, the quality has gone further down hill. I ate there yesterday at noon and was disappointed. Some foods were very cold, some were dry and tough. Disappointing but not shocking.
I've been a patron of cheng's since 1996, when they started offering their all you can eat menu and have been going there ever since. Back in the day, it was something of a novelty since they along with the now defunct Great Wall (now owned by Cheng's as Tokyo's Japanese restaurant)were the first in Cape May County to offer a Chinese buffet. Now that such places are quite in the mainstream, I'd have to say that Cheng's is basic overall. Their offerings aren't as varied as some of the other buffets I've been to but, the prices are reasonable enough and the food that's available is quite good. I have traveled globally and find the lo mein noodles there to be the most unique tasting and best ever. The other food selections aren't exceptional but adequate and enough to satisfy any voracious appetite. There is room for improvement, more variety and the service can be erratic sometimes. But overall, it hits the spot and is a good place to enjoy a good meal. Cheng's has a cozy feel to it - it's not overly large in seating capacity but I've never had to wait longer than a few minutes to be seated, even during the very crowded tourist season. Check it out.
