Don't waste your time or money on Madisons. My wife and I have eaten there twice and been disappointed twice. Madisons service is pretentious, but that is also the most that can be said for their food. Good taste and flavor are for the most part not attributes of Madisons menu offerings. I had their Short Ribs on our last visit. The flavor of Short Ribs lasted for a millisecond. I made the mistake of having Cheesecake for desert. It tasted stale and flat. My wife's opinion was that it was over a week old. My wife's Polenta was warn on the outside and cool on the inside. At least the wine was acceptable! Do yourself a BIG favor and go across the street to Ristorante Paoletti. There's a reason why there's always a people waiting in their small lobby and outside. The Lakeside, Log Cabin, and Wolfgangs are also dependable, but Madisons is easily the WORST restaurant in The Highlands.
Very elegant restaurant. Friendly service and great food. Some could say they were dissappointed with portion size and feel of restaurant. Has that uppity feel that struggles to make guests feel comfortable. Starting with a great equasion, just needs to try a different strategy for comfort level. Other than that a great place for a Elegant anniversary dinner, wedding dinner, ect. Also one of the only open bars in town. Due to restrictions of being a dry county...most restaurants are only allowed to serve wine, but alcohol can be found at Madisons.
