Well, I read the reviews here first before trying the place out and I am glad I went. A review before me suggested the Bronx Bomber - and that is what I ordered. Besides it being very hot and burning my mouth, it was excellent. Instead of the chips I upgraded to fries for $.50. The fried were a little greasy for me but was agreat compliment to the sandwich.
The place is open, well-lit with natural light (I dont like dark places) and everyone brought a fun atmosphere.
I'll be back!
My whole family loves Louie's. They have hands down the best soup in town, no matter what the day or the soup its always wonderful and reasonably priced. For a large soup and a roll its under $4. Anyone who grew up eating Italian food cooked from home will enjoy the food at Louie's. All their sandwiches are HUGE and fabulous...my husband is particularly fond of the Reuben hot off the grill, and the Bronx Bomber. I like the Anitpasta salad. The food is simple, fresh, well-done and the staff is incredibly willing to make sure you have a good experience and that your food is good. I'd highly reccomend this restaurant to anyone.
PS...Try the chicken parmesian sandwich if its your first time, you won't be dissapointed!!!
