This magnificant portion of cypress swamp has so much to offer anyone interested in nature. Walking the boardwalk, we had gotten only about 10 yards when we saw red-bellied woodpeckers, cardinals, gray-blue gnatcatchers,black-and-white warblers,yellow- rumped warblers and a prothonotary warbler. You didn't know where to look next. Osprey, eagle and heron are also bird inhabitants. It was a cool day, so we weren't lucky enough to spot any gators.The plants and trees are another whole study. I can't wait to return....and I will, often!
