Delicious! On par with my previous favorite for breakfast: The Breakfast Club. I guess that could make sense, because that's what was there before Fritatta. So, if you like that restaurant, try this one! It's relatively the small, so the big issue can sometimes be the wait, but it's worth it. However, I do find myself going less in the winter time, just because depending on the crowd, you may have to wait outdoors. But come summertime, nothing stops us! You like eggs benedict? Get them here, they are great!

We ate breakfast there in mid-July and *loved* that place! The food was delicious, the menu was varied & very enticing, the service was quite good and the interior was charming. There's also outdoor seating, with some lovely statuary. The only negative was that they don't ever use egg whites *or* egg beaters.

I was recommended to go to Frittata by a friend who gave us a gift certificate. When we went, the food was good and the service was ok. However, the difficulty we had with using our gift certificate caused me to write this review. We were told by the manager that we had to use the entire amount in one visit and could NOT get a balance certificate for the remainder. Our certificate was for a lot more money than two people could possibly spend for breakfast, even at this restaurant. We thought it was a very poor policy for their customers considering we would have lost around $30.00 of unused money that my friend had already spent in buying the certificate. This forced us to come back with others so we could spend the full amount, which is probably the reason they don't accommodate splitting up a certificate. Also, be warned that the certificates expire and the managers will be difficult in allowing you use them even a few days past the expiration date. We know this because we wanted to wait until the holidays to use the certificate when my in-laws werer able to go with us. I asked if we could use it a couple days past the expiration date and it took a lot of discussion for them to finally agree. I am not writing this because I am bitter. It was just very difficult for the management to work with us on an issue that many other businesses would easily handle. The food is good, but it wasn't worth our hassle. It doesn't appear that the management really values their customers. I hope they change their policy for future customers.

As good as any breakfast I've had

I've eaten here twice. Once taking my in-laws out to brunch and the second taking my Mom out to brunch. The prices are reasonable, especially in light of the quality food service and ambience, and it is the kind of place to go to please and impress your dining companions.

What a lovely little secret!
By ,
After being recommended to eat here by a couple different people, I finally decided to come here and try it out. The food was gourmet quality for just above diner prices. I had the french toast and it was one of those meals where I couldn't wait for the next bite - YUM! In fact, our entire party of 6 practically licked their plates clean. The service was impeccable as well. A+!

the best breakfast around, hands down!
By ,
While it's been around less than a year, Frittata has quickly become known as one of, if not the, best breakfast restaurant in metro Detroit. It's well worth the trip into not-so-beautiful downtown Clawson. This is no Coney Island. This is excellent gourmet italian omelets (known as Frittatas) filled with with lobster, asiago cheese, chorizo sausage, roasted red peppers, or just about any other tastey thing you can imagine. They also serve devine eggs benedict, french toast stuffed with chocolate-rasberry sauce (my personal favorite), steak and eggs and much more. They also have lunches, but I've enjoyed the breakfasts so much, I've rarely gotten to the lunch menu! While you'll certainly pay more than at a Coney, the cost is well worth it! PS - Save room for the the amazing chocolate torte with the melted fudge inside and the rich rasberry sauce!

Wonderful Breakfast

You feel like you're in another country when you're eating at Frittata. It's so special- its cozy inside, but very classy and comfortable. Sometimes you'll catch live music for weekend brunch. Unique dishes, vegetarian friendly.

A gem in Clawson
By ,
This place is one of the two places in Clawson, MI that you MUST eat at. The other is Noble Fish (which is conspicuously absent from the Yahoo listings). Clawson (the 1 mile sq city) has this little gem of a restaurant on Main street south of 14 Mile. In the summer, they have an outdoor patio to enjoy the sumptuous foods. The specialize in fritattas, however they do offer a wide range of breakfasts. These are breakfasts that you should enjoy slowly :) I highly reccomend their salmon fritatta with a side of panchetta. If you decide to eat indoors, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and an intimate setting decorated with an eclectic local style. I had the feeling I was sitting in a cafe in Tuscany. Very nice. The weekends are VERY busy so make sure you include wait time into your schedule.
