Cacique Restaurant, Frederick

Do not order the specials. Ordered the 14oz porterhouse special. It was cold and overcooked not to mention it was about an 8th inch think...absolutely terrible. The service was extremely slow. This was not the typical trip to Cacique.

The service was slow, the food took forever to come to the table. The food did not live up to the cost, and other reviews.

Well I must say I have always enjoyed the food at Cacique...however my praises stop there. It is quite possibly the WORST service on the planet. My guests and I were patiently waiting for a server to approach our table only to witness other servers standing around chatting. When the busboy asked us for chips and salsa, he said he would take our order. I asked for a waiter both in English and Spanish but he kept saying he would take care of us...after attempting to take our order and he had to return to ask additional questions I demanded a server. I'll always give a restaurant some latitude when it comes to errors, I mean we all have bad days, but I'm a little concerned when asking around town and the general perception is the same. One of Frederick's finest. Try the Spanish dishes first. The Mexican food is also great.

Cacique is a good restaurant (note the stars) I normally go there for the Spanish cuisine rather than the Mexican, but either are good. It is a gem in Frederick, a stand-out in a realm of highway mexican and back corner spanish It is authentic and fresh, showing a way for the new generation of downtown eateries I would recommend their Ceviche, if your into semi-raw foods

i live here and it is the best mexican food you can get the owner has 3 resturants in frederick this is to me the best of them all because it is in lovely downtown

Good food, prices are better then average, and the service is FAST! Give this one a try before you head to La Paz

Food is good and service is good. If you hit happy hour, drink prices are excellent.
