Of more than a hundred Maui galleries, this is one of the best. Among the masters on display are Carmello Sortino, lauded local sculptor Steven Turnbull and one-name wonder Gorban. One of the featured artists is the young Vladimir Kush, a 35-year-old Russian wunderkind comparable to a 21st Century Dali. Painting, sculptures and mixed media art are optimally displayed in the spacious salon. On Friday and Saturday evenings, artists visit the gallery to talk with fans. Live music is featured on the salon nights.

Thank you ABC Corporation!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/09
So happy to report that ABC STores of Hawaii has purchased the building at 802 Front st. recently! This is great news as this means the removal of Sargents Fine Art from the Front st. location! Additionally it was written in the Pacific Business News recently that there jewelry store now has a 140,000.00 tax lein against it! Good Ridence!

Anna Good is just outstanding..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/07
For years I've been coming to "the Islands" to Surf its contests and dive into its awsome lively ocean. I've put to use my digital water cameras and land cameras to capture the beauty of the Island of Maui, The Big Island, Oahu,(and Tahiti), etc... I was always drawn to the art galleries on every trip on front street. Now, Maui is such a beautiful media and On many evenings I can be found in Lahaina strolling from gallery to gallery. But my favorite is Sargents art Gallery where you could find me fixated on the paintings of Anna Good. I would be emulating Annas pallate knife strokes and was in awe of her fasinating color mixtures and the thickness of the oils. Well she caught me a number of times standing in front her outstanding works of love.. She challanged me to get back into the artistic side of me. I did. She has my 1st piece of art and asked me why haven't been doing this for the last 30 years?? and from that point on I've kept in touch and have about 20 pieces done and "so many started" and another 80 to 100 "plus" rattling around in my head and over a thousand photos yet to be tapped. Sargents Gallery is filled with many breathtaking pieces of art in various mediums. You must stop in.. And to Anna, Thank you for seeing something in me that I had forgotten, my artistic side. Thank you all, Jim Pilkenton(Retired Pro surfer and traveler)..

Very eclectic collection!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
My wife and I were very taken by both the quality of the art and the staff that served us. We felt no pressure as we were welcomed to check the more than 30 artists on display, both local and internationally recognized painters and sculptures. We felt very confident in our purchase as first time buyers of quality art from Sargent's. If only they would scrub up the carpet a bit...

Great art......nice people!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
We liked the politeness of the 2 different people we spoke to and our sales lady was extremely knowledgable. The art we purchased was shipped safe and sound and with framing took about 5 weeks to reach our home. The wait was worth it! We'd go back!

Unique Jewelry
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/06
Very unique jewelry by local artist Kenneth Brown that is worth checking out. My wife and I had been looking for pearl earings, but after seeing many of the same old thing, we were about to give up until we decided to look one more place. Not cheap, but amazing one of a kind pieces.

POOR Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/06
The art in the gallery was splendid, but there was an older man working there that was EXTREMELY rude. If you're on front street look out for this older man with long white hair looking to get a commision off of you.
