We booked a fishing charter, a dinner cruise, a luau and a parasailing trip through Hawaii Active for our honeymoon. I loved the convenience of booking several activities on one site. FYI: If you should choose a fishing charter, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you take some motion sickness pills before hand. I didn't and spent most of the tour perched on the side of the boat even though I have never been sea sick before. Just saying... =) The other activities were great and the staff was very helpful. I would definately use Hawaii active again on our next vacation to the islands.
The views were breathtaking! We were on O'ahu for 9 days and went to many places, the North Shore, PCC, Hanuama Bay, Pearl Harbor and surfed at Waikiki Beach, Every day was warm, sunny and beautiful!!!
Really enjoyed the black sand beach, Volcano National Park, Lava Tube, and beautiful scenery. The day was a little long: 4:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. (hotel pickup, flight from Oahu, tour, return flight and hotel drop-off.) The tour guide was more like a stand-up comedian than a tour guide. Not even sure he gave us accurate facts. We seemed to stop every 30 minutes to buy macadamia nuts, sweetbread, candy, or something else. Would have preferred more time at the interesting sights of Hawaii with real facts and a tiny bit of humor thrown in. Wanted to put our fingers in our ears to stop the tour guide's last hour and a half of gibberish. Sometimes silence is golden. Would have preferred another tour guide, or tour company, or maybe we just should have driven the island by ourselves. Really disappointing.
What a great experience it was to do the tube ride with you folks. Very easy pace and educational how the canals were built and the tunnels. The guides were well informed and shared a lot of information and made it a fun trip. Will be back next year to try the zip lines.
When I booked this, it's held at the Hyatt on Maui, so I thought wow Hyatt, comfortable. WRONG. Basically, it's held in a parking lot, on plastic lawn chairs. Wow, what a dissapointment! You have better talent on America's Got Talent ! I won't even give it a one star.
My husband and I took the Waimea Canyon bike ride through Outfitters Kauai. The 2 guys who led the tour were brothers (funny)- and did a fantastic job! Not only did we get to see Waimea Canyon but they shared information on plant life, Hawaiian history, and great places to eat. We'd recommend this tour! Easy bike ride- mostly down hill. Wish we saw more of the canyon though. We drove up later in the day to see the rest of the Waimea Canyon.
We really wanted to see an active volcano and looked at many different options. We finally decided on a helicopter after asking and boy was it worth it! Bring your camera and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! From Volcanoes to waterfalls, we saw it ALL!
This was a wonderful, well run tour even on a rainy day in Hawi. My only complaint was the ride out to the Zipline. It was unnecessarily rough...the driver could have gone half as fast and it still would have qualified as a "wild ride". Although safety was a priority on the Zipline, it did not appear to be during transportation. Over all it was an awesome experience!! We would recommend it, their website was accurate and helpful.
