Very Creative. A blend of tradition with a touch of modern. His use of native woods in carving hails back to ancient days when some of the life force of the carvers was transferred into their creation. When you combine tradition, native Hawaiian materials with a modern vision and Jonathon Somaoang's life force, you find youself with a artistic representation of great depth with all of the respect and honor found deep within Hawaiian tradition.
