Slipped a Little But Still good!

We have been to Joe's many times starting in the latter 90's. The setting and atmosphere was very comfortable with beautiful views of the sunset, the drinks very generous, and all the entrees we ever ordered were very good. With Ahi everywhere in the last 10 years, even restaurants in the mid-West, the best, most perfectly cooked piece of Ahi I have ever had was at Joe's. The last time we were in Wailea a year ago, as usual we wentat least twice. It seemed as if it has slipped from past experience. The service was spotty, courses came late or early stacking up on the table and seemed to have moved a tick upward into a higher price strata. It never was inexpensive but for for the area was very reasonable.
If you want a casual, enjoyable evening in a very comfortable setting, it is a good bet. If you are looking for more consistent, better dining, make the drive and go to the General Store. Either way, you can't really lose!
