With three locations on Maui, this popular local eatery is hard to miss. The menu is simple; it features all the favorites and nothing else. Go for the Saimin Special (similar to a hearty, homemade Cup o' Noodles) or the mahi-mahi plate. Prodigious appetites will want to get the Big Braddah Combo, which is served with a choice of two entrees. Be forewarned though: local boys have BIG appetites, and it is not always easy to follow their example. Prices here are low, ranging from $5-$8 for a meal. This popular Hawaii brand has several locations on the island and in Northern California. See website for locations.
The food at Da Kitchen is great local food at a good price. The mac/potato salad can't be beat. The Loco Moco and Huli Huli chicken are a staple you can't live without.
The counter help is a bit brusk, they need to smile, but they always get the order right and in a timely manner.
You can eat in or take out to the beach.
Don't miss it!
Aloha this place is-the d a place for good Hawaiian food! Talk about food on your plates! The prices are great not to expensive. The service is good. Nice wahinies good place to stop after landing in Maui. It will fill you up, even left overs
This place is okay if there are no other choices, but definitely don't go if you are looking to eat healthy. If you are looking for grease and gravy - head on over. The flavors are fine, but it's definitely heavy on the grease.
While vacationing in Maui over the summer, me and my bud were driving arund Maui looking for a REALLY GOOD place to eat, this place caught my eye. Stepped in to a beautiful enviornment. Had a seat and was amazed at ALL of the pretty waitress' that were SOOOO helpful and courteous on top of that! I Ordered the Kal-Bi Plate and some fries, while my friend ordered the Hayn Mix...
Da plates was HUGE! and damn delicious!
I can pound alot of grinds, and I was pretty satisfied! Not only that but da food was so tasty, unbelievable. May have been the best Kal-Bi I EVA had! The Hayn mix was just as BIG, if not BIGGER! Finished my friends Hayn plate off, for value and taste, TOP NOTCH!
I live in Oahu and can't wait to stop by again...
and Krispy Kremes for dessert!
I crave for this place ALL da time, we need one in Honolulu... NOW!
Our first time in Maui, Da kitchen gave us one of the most loviest eating experience we have while we were there. Its not your ordinary Hawaiian food. Its the best, in terms of quantity, quality and dollar value. Their Teriyaki Chicken is so tender, their kalua pork so juicy and tasty, just right enough to get you hooked. U can never go wrong with this place. I am so glad that they opened one up in Mountain View, CA... now I can eat there as often as I like minus the plane ride.
Da Kitchen was a great takeout restaurant that served authentic Hawaiian fare. Food was very rich and hearty as Hawaiian food should be. Nicely decorated, clean restaurant with great t-shirts. You know you're getting the real deal when you come here.
Da Kitchen rocks! its been 2 months since I left Maui and I've been craving it ever since. The portions are enough to feed 2 people and then some...Try the Kalbi ribs, Grilled and marinated to perfection. This place is addicting!!!!!!
Da Kitchen is one of the BEST resturants on the island of Maui! The place is so great that its ALWAYS packed with hungry customers. The only things i may dislike that has is not really negative at all is the store location.. the area is really small.. if there is a better location.. a bigger one.. then MORE people can enjoy da kitchen at the same time.. Oh yah.. maybe the times to.. everytime I get hungry.. sometimes it closes early! but other then that I LOVE the food and service there!
