For nearly 20 years, this place has been serving some of the freshest, most delicious seafood in the Hawaiian islands. The fish menu changes from day to day. However, favorites such as Bouillabaisse and Stuffed Prawns are always available. Shellfish lovers will want to start any meal with Erik's famous Steamed Clams or Oysters a la Erik. The comfortable, upscale decor features a nautical theme, wood paneling and potted plants. Stuffed trophy marlin and old fishing nets adorn the walls.
If you are a steamed clam lover, this will be your second home on Maui! I used to live in Lahaina in the late 80's and Eriks has the best steamed clam pot with succulent broth and garlic bread to die for and you gotta dip it that I have ever experienced! This is a MUST GO when visiting Maui!
Eric's used to be across the street and the best place to eat in Maui. Is now in Lahaina and the service is okay and the food good instead of excellant. Perhaps still recovering from the move. Truely a heart breaker of a move!
Some of the freshest and most creatively delicious food we have EVER eaten! Christian is a real artist! Although there are no "ocean views" the giant salt water aquariums are lovely. The staff is experienced and gratious and the restaurant just gets better each time we visit. Unique and artistic sushi rolls are regularly created by the chef and sushiman, and can be enjoyed at happy hour for half price. A bargain indeed. We watched as a local fisherman came in the front door with his "catch" by the tail, be guided to the kitchen and walk out fishless, minutes later putting money into his pocket! That's what I call "fresh fish"! You will not be disappointed. What a treat!
