Kamokila Village, Kapaa

Wander the re-created ruins of a pre-contact Hawaiian village. Thatched huts and shelters give modern-day tourists an idea of what it was like to live in the ancient South Pacific. A number of displays and demonstrations show how the Polynesians eked out their day-to-day existence. Observe how they prepared food, made clothing, and carved petroglyphs.
