Description

The purpose of this structure is twofold - first, to act as a center for technology and new media on the island, and second, to show visitors Kauai's progression from a primitive pre-contact society to a fully modernized community. Visitors can view exhibits, examine model airplanes and ships, and get information about Kaua'i and the surrounding area. This center opened recently and has added a little bit of a hi-tech feel to the relaxed town of Waimea - mostly because of the hi-tech businesses housed in it. Admission is free.

A must 'TO DO" incrediable LEI making instruction classes "free" donation if so inclined. Rodney is the highlight! Fresh flowers abound. Loved the atmosphere in which I created a treasured LEI. Saved as a remembrace of a heartfelt experience Thank you for Beautiful Welcoming Spirit. See you all soon..................love your Canadian friend Sharon

Will go again!!

We had a great time lei-making with a few other visitors. We were shown how to make the lei and then given big piles of flowers to use. The teacher was making a lei right along with us, and gave us any help we needed. The center has 4 computers you can use to check your email and surf the web if you want. If you go after school is out you may have to wait for a student to finish up. If there are people waiting you are given a time limit, but can get on again when someone else is done. This is all free so the value is 5 stars plus.
