Description
Also known as Casa Valeri or Valeri's House, this beautiful large town-house dates from the year 1873, and was refurbished in 1990 to serve as a historic and cultural centre. It preserves the architectural style of the House of the Governors of the Province of Merida, on whose foundations it rests. Inside you will see portraits of the aforementioned former governors, Venezuelan presidents, and the most outstanding climbers of the local Andes. There is also a patio used for concerts and a small history museum. Admission is free.
