Pueblito Sueños del Abuelo, MéRIDA

Víctor A. Freitas is a true grandfather who dreamed of creating a little town for grandchildren everywhere. In 1996, his dreams came true with the inauguration of Pueblito Sueños del Abuelo en La Culata, near the Mucujún River north of the city. The miniature town includes a scaled-down church, square and fountain, food store, small houses, amphitheatre, lagoon, a Roman aqueduct, and even a banking agency to exchange useless adult's money for valuable children's currency. As is be expected, the Queen's Palace completes this grandchildren's paradise. Admission is free.
