Falstaff Experience (The)
Experience the Falstaff Experience for an informative and theatrical living history lesson. You will be met and entertained by staff in period costume and you can have your photograph taken alongside characters in the mock-up cottages and shops. Items of interest here include the punishment stocks, the music room and a Gothic collection of all things ghastly and glorious!
We went to this place two days running, 1st day with the children, myself and my daughter saw a little girl and we heard footsteps above us although we were assured we were the only people in the building. 2nd day hubby and i went alone with the camera, we picked up a very strange spooky photo showing what appears to be several anomalies which we could not explain as again we were the only people present. we are returning tomorrow to donate this picture to the falstaff and see what they make of it.
All together it was a very atmospheric place and we had various personal experiences in there. definetly somewhere we will return to, and hope we can build the courage to do a ghost tour.
We haven't been to The Falstaff Experience for a number of years - and what a delightful transformation! The museum is now called Tudor World. Its still very atmospheric with the authentic recreations of 16th century life, but now its full of interesting little bits of information and fantastic settings. The figures look so real, its quite spooky! Would certainly recommend for any age! Our friends and I spent ages looking around. We also went on the evening ghost tour. This is a very different experience again and the people with us felt their hair pulled when on the stairs and another lady said she felt something touch her. We felt it was very good value for money and a great experience. Definitely a very interesting and haunted place, day or night.
having spent time reading up on Falstaff, and the so called hauntings i was looking forward to going there. I wish I hadn't bothered I found the whole place quiet, with nothing going on, not scared at anytime, save your money and find a place that has got some real atmosphere, and not something made up.
Most Haunted went here, and sorry but it shows what they are really like
Wow! I have just had the most amazing experience at the Falstaffs Experience. No wonder they call it an experience! During the day we were swept away by the lifelike waxworks and spooky atmosphere of this very interesting museum - but at night - oh my! We went on a vigil. They told us to keep an open mind but also to keep our 'researcher' head on and not assume everything is paranormal and were very professional. But we saw unexplained lights, dark shapes, and felt changes in temperature. The spirit of 'Lucy' came through and I felt her physically pull at my little finger. I couldn't believe it! It is an experience I will never forget in my life. Absolutely exhilerating stuff!
A group of us got tickets for a Christmas present and went on an overnight vigil. We went with open minds, but as the night wore on, we found ourselves more and more disapointed. The main problem is that the majority of guests consisted of people overly eager to believe in the supernatural, to the point that the most mundane things with rational explanations were labelled as "phenonamon". For us it would have been better if the "Mediums" had not been present, for their attitude did much to encourage the guests in willing something to happen. I was hugely disapointed by the lack of rationale investigation into anything that was deemed as possibly supernatural. On the one occasion I thought I saw something in the dark, I was able to confirm it was one of the guests moving their arm, while the mediums seemed all too eager to call it an apparition. Don't waste your money. The only spooky thing about this place was the props.
My husband and I went on a ghost hunt here. I have never been so scared in my life. We have been in a number of haunted houses and done ghost tours before but nothing compares to this. I can't explain it, you have to experience it for yourself.
Even though it was so scary it was exhilarating as you didn't know if you were going to see or hear a ghost. We heard unexplained noises, caught orbs on camera and i had someone breathe on me and it's breath was rank! There was only my hubby, me and the guide there, I told the guide what had happened to me and he said 'yes, that's John, does it quite a lot'!!! Great tour which requires a visit to pub afterwards to steady the nerves.
It's fantastic and a must see at all costs.
The best of the best of the best!
A spooky place, where the dark side might just say hello.
There is no better place to visit, a fantasic experience.
Would LOVE to go back at the witching hour.
