Museum of Fire and Police
This museum displays emergency services vehicles, equipment and uniforms from around the world. A comprehensive and well-presented exhibition of the role of fire and police officers today and in the past, offers viewing of traditional and modern fire appliances. The museum itself is housed in an old city center Fire Station, which sports a a cafe and fire-themed children's play area. Inquire about children's birthday parties.
How can anyone write a review without going to the place (previous reviewer)? What has the appearance got to do with the experience kids get from visiting the museum? Get a life and get off your backside and visit the place. I bet it's a woman!!!!!!!! I enjoyed the kids enjoyed it and we never took any notice of the buildinds appearance.
Never visited the Museum, heared very good reports. Being a resident of Sheffield and passing the Museum most days it always stikes me a eyesore for anyone visiting Sheffield. Lets face it it is scruffy looking from the outside, only needs soap and water for cleaning windows and paintwork from the tower down, this would make a vast differance to this lovely building.
Have also heared other people comment on how dirty it looks. (Sorry not one for complaining really)
