Eagle, Cambridge

Housed in an old stone front building, The Eagle was once the most important coaching inn in Cambridge, and its history is on display throughout its five large rooms —one non-smoking. The decor features medieval wall paintings, fireplaces and paneling from the 16th century, and the signatures of British and American World War II airmen on the ceiling. The pub's friendly atmosphere and central location drawsa good crowd.
