Rainbow Cafe, Cambridge

Three of us arrived when the cafe was full. We were told ,grumpily, to wait on the stairs, and staff passing us didn't hide their irritation at having to pass us. Eventually when we had got a table and the food arrived, my spinach lasagne,which is apparently a signature dish ,arrived obviously straight from the microwave. The edges were scalding hot, the inside barely warm, and the cheese sauce on top congealed. My companions' food was better, but they too were disappointed with the bits of lettuce leaf and tomato and grated carrot which counts as " salad " at this cafe,unacceptable I feel in these times when one can expect a lovely mix of salad leaves,rocket etc. And it isn't cheap. We wont be going back.
