More »Bristol's only fresh water, water sports lake, is a veritable paradise for the true water sport fanatic. Man-made and 4ft deep, it offers the perfect conditions for the following sports: windsurfing, dinghy sailing, jet skiing, surf-biking, waterskiing, lake golf (just ask!) and canoeing. Basically, if you like it wild and wet, this is the place for you. It's also home to Britain's only Aquathon team competition, which is always fun to watch. There's a shop on site offering wetsuits and surf boards etc. to buy or to hire. Even those who wish to keep dry are catered for, with fishing, karting and clay pigeon shooting. Two brand-new quad biking courses are due to open soon, one for the kids and one for adults. Prices vary widely depending on what activity you choose, but as a guide - approximately £20 an hour for windsurfing and water skiing (including equipment hire), right down to £4 for an hour's worth of canoeing. West Country Water Park is open seven days a week.
