Dover Castle Pub (The)
Patronized by local people from the trendy Hanover district of Brighton, the Dover Castle is a friendly pub near the top of Southover Street. Don't be afraid to climb the hill, this is a great place for lunch and food is excellent. Drinks-wise there's a good selection such as Hurlimann lager, Oranjeboom, Hoegaarden Belgian beer and several real ales. Food is freshly made and all veggie. Aztec pie (oven baked Mexican spiced mince layered between floured tortillas served with salsa salad) is one of the most popular dishes. Portions are huge too!
