Formerly The Stanford Arms, this cafe/bar/restaurant has undergone a dramatic transformation. What once was a dark, airless pub is now a bright, breezy eaterie just across the street from the Duke of York's Cinema. Popular with office workers at lunchtime and early evening; the crowd is mixed later on. An extensive menu, including Thai cuisine is on offer from breakfasts and baguettes to full meals. This is quality cuisine at very reasonable prices. Desserts are home-made and Chunky Paprika Fries are quite wonderful.
