Pond (The), Brighton

Since the early nineties, the Pond has been a welcoming and friendly pub. With a huge collection of chamber pots, inherited from the Green Dragon Pub (now The Office), comfy seats, dark wooden floors and furnishings, it's cosy and original with a fine music selection on the juke box. Drinks-wise try Hoegaarden Belgian beer, Caffreys, Harveys bitters, Fullers London Pride, lagers and bottled drinks. A lunchtime menu (noon-3p M-F, noon-5p Sa & Sun) and Thai bar snacks are available (from 6p M-Su). Upstairs there's a Thai restaurant which is open from 6p-10:30p M-Sa.
