I have now been to saint pauls bar/brasserie twice the first time i went was with a friend who reccomended it as he had been there before.
On our arrival we had a few drinks before going in to the down stairs restaurant the bar staff were friendly and polite which was a great start to the evening but was not to be the outcome!!!
We ordered our food my friend had the duck on a bed of parsnip mash and i had the rib-eye steak, there were 4 other tables in the restaurant at the time and all looked liked they had all had there main courses, we ordered at 8.30 and to our dissapointment never recieved our meals until 9.05 which was very shocking due to how quite the place was the person waiting on us appologised for the wait and told us it was due to the kitchen staff being busy, which was a shock to the both of us.
But once we had finished our meals we went back upstairs and had a few more drinks before leaving at 10.30.
The second time i went was on the night of saturday the 13th of november with a friend who lives in the near by mailbox who told me there had been a change of Head chef who was the previous head chef from the quinn,s bar that used to be in the mailbox andshe highly reccomended him as a great chef as she had eaten there on numerous occasions and had enjoyed each meal.
She had pre-booked a table as saturdays are uaually busy.
When we got there there was a large group who were sitting eating in the restaurant and i thought here we go again!!! but when we ordered our food i was pleasantly surprised that the food got to us in under 12 minutes and it was all well presented and was hot.
I have now decided to book my office xmas party there and looking forward to going back again and would highly reccomend to others they do the same.
