Fascinating art for adults and kids
We and our kids liked this place a lot. We went with trepidation that the art wasn't going to interest our children as much as the adults but they loved activating all the machines and were fascinated by the alternately cheerful and frightening aspects of Tinguely's work. The gift shop was a bit pricey but aren't they all? Apart from Tinguely's works, there are one-off displays about his contemporaries. Highlight for our children was using one of Tinguelys machines which moved coloured pens across paper to make a drawing for 2 CHF. An original Tinguely work of art for less than a pound. Bargain!
The cafe downstairs was tres chic and all the staff were attentive and helpful.
We also had a lovely walk along the bank of the Rhine with the ferry crossing from the Munster to get there made it a perfect day.
