Cyrano, Gothenburg

First of all, Cyrano is not just a single restaurant anymore, but a small chain with a handful of venues in and around Gothenburg. We've been into three of these places this far. For a la carte menus the best place is Prinsgatan, their beef comes in mind as a rather memorable experience, but they have plenty of other good foods to indulge in as well, it's well worth a try. The other venues are mostly pizza places, but that's for a good reason: They simply make the best pizza in town! Most of it is made for take away / home delivery, but there are always a few tables if you want to sit in, and have one right in place. This is *not* the typical Swedish "kebab-pizza" with lots of mayo, or Bernaise sauce (yuck) and supermarket ingredients. These guys make a good authentic pizza called "Pizza Provencale" with tasty and fresh ingredients, mediterranian herbs, great Parma ham, olive oil, and fresh pesto. The wooden fire smoke mixed with fresh pizza smell brought us in when we passed by Cyrano Vasa on Viktoriagatan for the first time, on a cold winter day. We've been returning clients ever since, for almost a year now, and they still top our personal pizza chart, hands off. We've also tried their pizza in another venue in Västra Frölunda, and the quality appears to be consistent. The price of a pizza is around 90-100SEK (10-11EUR), which is quite good for Sweden and an excellent price for the top quality they deliver!

Not something special really.But good food for its prices. I've been many times because I used to live near by. I would recoment if you don't ask and need a lot more from a dinner just simply!
