Dehesa del Saler (La), Valencia

This stretch of land, full of sand dunes and pine trees and located 10 kilometres south of the city, separates L'Albufera Lake from the Mediterranean Sea. It has long been a prime leisure and recreation area for Valencians, who enjoy the beaches, forests, athletic areas, and restaurants. Formerly, it was a livestock pasture and a royal hunting reserve.
