Description
This is one of Cantabria's prettiest beaches and is located about 8km from Santander.The fine golden sands and spectacular surrounding countryside add to the charm of this 500m long beach. The Isla del Castro (Castro Island) just offshore, becomes a peninsula at low tide. Be careful of the steep shelf when you go in for a swim. Nude sunbathing is permitted just around the point where the sandbar joins the island.At weekends there are lifeguards on duty. Beach tennis and volleyball can be played and pets are allowed.Information
