A great place to eat! Make your own Mongolian BBQ, complete with raw buffet and sauce mixing station. What gets more personalized than that? After they cook it up on the huge grill, if you don't like it, just go back and make another one!! Super delicious and good for you too!
I went there on a date in 2005 and it was amazing, the waitress even complimented me on my perfume (and I'm a girl authentic compliments go far) I moved from the area and recently moved back and went there again for a baby shower. The food was great, the service was great and the price was great! A+++
Huhot is hands down the best place to eat in Sioux City with out question. The food is fantastic and the service is second to none. It is nice when you do not have to ask for your ice tea to be refilled and your empty plates are removed as you empty them. (not once you stack up a few) I always enjoy eating at Huhot. Thank You Huhot for providing a wonderful place for friends and family to gather. Your the BEST.
I really liked this eating here. The staff was nice and were very speedy. The place itself was clean and the food area was cleaned reguraly and kept well stocked. I have always enjoyed eating here and have never had a complaint.
When i first went to this place i thought-whoa-everything is cold when your in the buffet line,Then you pick out the great selection-almost seems unlimited, than they start cooking! The smells from the grill about drive you crazy and the food is awesome!!!Than you go back in line for a totally different mixture of foods and sauces.I loved it!
The food is great... and it should be. After all, the customer makes their own plate. If the food is bad its because you didn't use a good combinations of foods and sauces.
A couple of times the waitstaff seemed to forget that we are supposed to get a bowl of rice and some soup I think. And several times I have waited quite a while for a check and for a refill on the beverage. Another bad thing is the waiting in line for your food to be cooked. But, the wait is well worth it once you take the first bite. Maybe a little high priced, which keeps me from going all the time. But the rarity is likely what keeps the place regarded as one of the best in my mind.
One more thing, the noise may get to you. All the cooks doing their thing in the middle of the place makes for non-stop annoying clatters of their cooking untensils.
Not only does HuHot offer a plethora of options for a make-your-own dish style of Chinese/Mongolian meals, but their appetizers are to die for, particularly their crab rangoons. The sweet and sour dipping sauce is a delicious burst of flavor that is unlike any other. The service is adequate, considering the buffet-style of eating, and the staff keeps an upbeat and friendly attitude. Overall, an excellent choice for fine dining and a relaxing and affordable night out.
