Antigua Bodega Castañeda
This old-fashioned bar and restaurant serves excellent tapas and the menu features a great variety of cold meat and cheese platters, as well as roast meats and roast potatoes. The two floors are beautifully decorated with dark, aged wood and old sherry adverts that make you feel as if you were in a 17th-century tavern. Outside, there is a narrow terrace where you can sit on a quiet side street. The waiters are experienced and friendly, and everything to do with the place is top quality. Funnily enough, it always seems to be either packed or empty when you come here. Nevertheless, even if it's packed you'll find a space.
We didn't want to leave Granada. This place was so friendly we just kept going back.

We loved the wine, the staff and the tapas. Just hope they liked the two South African Senoritas as much. The best deal in Spain and tops all the great places we went to in Barcelna, Madrid, Cordoba and Seville. On our last night we hopped to four different tapas bars but still ended our evening here.
Full of locals. Excellent service by hard working waiters.Looking at them while working is like watching a theatre. Decorated real Spanish. A place to remember and to return to!!!
With every drink a tapa.
Bodega Castaneda was my absolute favorite tapas bar in Granada during my nearly three months stay in the town. It has everything one expects from a Spanish bar. Napkins on the floor, truly excellent tapas, lovely drinks (I don't remember the name but they have a special recipe of a mixture of wines and liquors that they pour straight from various barrels behind the bar), flattering bartenders, a nice mixture of locals and tourists, the typical Pata Negra's above the bar, etc. etc. I could go on, but I'd rather spend my time in Bodega Castandeda and enjoy the friendly and open atmosphere.
Try this restaurant for some authentic local dishes that you won't find elsewhere in Spain. The tortilla sacromonte is only
made in Granada. It's not everyone's idea of a delicacy, but if you've got a strong constitution you'll survive. ...
