Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary, Tshwane

Come and enjoy 15 hectares of relaxing bird watching. There are more than 100 indigenous bird species to be seen at the sanctuary, all in their natural habitat. The reserve is one of the oldest and most famous bird sanctuaries in Pretoria, with eagles, vultures, owls, and storks to be viewed. The sanctuary is open from 07:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during summer and from 07:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. during winter. If you are tired of bird-watching, put down your binoculars at the beautiful Blue Crane Restaurant situated close to the sanctuary.
