A warm ambience is created with extensive use of timber and soft lighting. Here you will taste some good pasta and meat dishes. Depending on your preference, owner Rolando Luceri usually has recommendations to make and takes pride in preparing his food. The home-made pastas here come highly recommended. The ravioli with pumpkin and cream and pepperoni sauce is smooth and delightfully textured. The fillet of sea bass is also well done, retaining its firmness and flavours well. A choice of Italian wines is available to accompany your meal.
- Two much waiting time (on saturday night we had to wait for 30mins to get seated despite we booked much before, then we waited another 40mins to get the food served)
- high prices (for instance 28SDG for a tagliatta, which is a salad with beef chucks)
- unattentive service, noisy place.
We love this place! They serve the most authentic Italian food we've found outside of Italy and we've travelled the world. The owner was very personable and made sure we were enjoying our experience. He came by the tables and spent several minutes chatting instead of the standard, "How is everything tonight?" and walking to the next table to ask the same question.
The rissotto was outstanding and the atmosphere charming. Enjoy!
I came here for dinner last Friday night and while the restaurant was packed, the service was still outstanding and the food very authentic!
We had mushrooms and calamari for starters - delicious and the raviloi with blue cheese was perfection. The finale was the chocolate seduction, the icing on the cake. Will be back definitely!
For a place with such acclaim, ambience and an impressive menu, my date and I were left with such an awful experience we were determined not to return again.
The person who waited on us was impersonal with a demeanor that bordered on hostility.
Me: "What is the soup of the day?"
Waiter: "We're out."
Me: "That was not my question, what is the soup of the day?"
Waiter: "We're out."
That was just the start of our dinner.
This is a really nice place for a casual Italian meal, much better than Da Paolo I think. The casual atmosphere is great, and the food is excellent.
I have only been here once, but it's a place worth going back to.
I went to this restaurant which was recommended to me by my local company's colleagues and was plesantly surprised.
While Singapore has a lot of trendy restaurants but this one made me feel right at home. Pasta Brava has a very relaxed atmosphere with a lot of local Asian history in it's decor like an old colonial villa and the Italian food was outstanding.
