Ma Maison Restaurant, Singapore

This restaurant serves up Western dishes with a Japanese touch. It adopts the look of a traditional English cottage, complete with parquetry flooring, wooden tables and chairs. The walls are crammed with English memorabilia--clocks, posters and more. It is a little contrived, but ultimately warm and cosy. Dishes include the Hamburger Steak--a mix of beef and pork served with a sauce that takes a month to prepare--and the paella, which is baked saffron rice with seafood.
