T.G.T.F. Thank Goodness There's Fridays
The view from Brussels is clearer than local reviewers when it comes to cuisine on Boracay. Fridays is, and has been for years, simply the best choice for a guaranteed fine meal, superb and well-trained service, spectacular sunset views, and a full and untroubled tummy. Pricier than most, and located at the far (and nicest, by far) end of the beach, Fridays is an open pavillion which can be glazed on the rare occasions nature dictates it. The weekend buffets are as good as you will find in Manila for seafood variety and presentation, which is saying something, as the capital city boasts possibly the finest value cuisine on the planet. Boracay is a small and isolated part of that same planet and generally the dining options reflect this fact -- the exception being Friday's. Reservations are essential, but the staff are keen to fit you in. Trial and error will enable you to discover a number of eating options on the Island, but if you leave without experiencing Friday's at least once, you have missed the best it has to offer.
