Jony's Restaurant, Malay

I've been to Jony's 4 or 5 times...each time I've gone to Boracay. I remember the first time I had a mango shake at Jony's as my personal trainer at Gold's Gym in Makati had recommended the place to me. When I got to Boracay, I was staying at Friday's and stopped for a mango shake. I started walking away on the beach...turned around, went back and bought another one..I ended up drinking those things 5 or 6 times a day!!! The food was great, cheap and plentiful. I'm headed back to Boracay in September, and am really looking forward to this trip, as I've not been there since Nov. 2005 and have heard it's changed a lot. Last time I was there, there was no kayaking, parasailing, very little snorkeling, and no jet skis. So in a way, I'm going to be disappointed I think in the commercialism that has taken over.

my husband and I stayed 4 days at Jony's, the hotel is not that great nothing compare to five star but who needs a five star hotel if you're already in boracay....the island is amazing, i advice visitors to spend your money with the activities that you can do, like parasailing, kayaking, island hopping and food. You only need the room to sleep anyway since there's a lot of things that you can do during the day. The grilled blue marlin at Jony's is the best one I ever had, we went there last june of 2007 and I can still taste it in my mouth....definitely something to go back and try again. Imee
